The Precision of Individual Lens Centering at ISOPTIK
The human nose is not always perfectly centered on the face. Therefore, it is essential to determine the unique center of each pupil based on the exact distance from the bridge of the nose to the center of each individual eye.
If the optical centers of the lenses do not perfectly align with the centers of the pupils, it causes discomfort. This occurs because the visual cortex must work harder to fuse the images from both eyes, forcing the brain to undergo a stressful adaptation process every time you switch eyeglasses.
Once the precise distance from the bridge of the nose to each pupil is determined, the lens center is calibrated using a 9-beam digital lensmeter, capable of measuring lens power with a resolution of 0.01 diopters. The lenses are then edged using a 3D digital system with 0.01 mm precision. Finally, the nose pads are meticulously adjusted to fit the wearer's nose bridge perfectly, followed by a final verification of the centering. This meticulous process ensures eyeglasses that provide ultimate comfort and crystal-clear vision from every angle, eliminating the need for the wearer to struggle or "force" their eyes to adapt to the glasses.
